To open the Configuration window, select Setup | Weight Options | Configuration. A window similar to the following appears.
Default Direction
Use this option to select the default direction of the material flow. This value is used to set the direction for transactions where stored tare weights are used.
To select the default direction, select Incoming or Outgoing from the drop-down list.
Click the Save button to continue. To undo any changes click the Undo button.

The Warn on Direction option will display the following warning message during a transaction where the material direction is opposite the default material direction.
Click Yes to store the transaction where the material flow is opposite from the default setting.

Unattended Runner/Touch7
Prompt lists in unattended runners will also be sorted based on this setting.

This setting will link the Truck field on the first weigh screen to the truck table. The field will display all trucks in the truck table. The combo box search will search both columns as the user types.

Preload Notes
Use the Preload Notes option to preload notes 21, 22, and 23 with address information from the Account table or job instructions from the Jobs table.
- Ensure notes 21, 22, or 23 have been enabled, to configure or verify set up select Setup | Configure | Ticket Notes.
- Only one of the three (3) available Account Addresses can be used with this option. Select the desired address from the available drop-down list. This will typically be Address 1.
The address will be placed in note 21, the alternate address will be placed in note 22, and the city, state, and zip code will be placed in note 23. Interact will suppress any blank fields. For example, when the alternate address does not exist the city, state, and zip code will be placed in note 22. The picture below shows the fields in the account table available to store in notes 21, 22, and 23.
Preload Notes with Job Instructions
Check the box to enable Preload Notes with Job Instructions to replace the account address with job instructions when job instructions exist. When job instructions do not exist, the account address will be loaded into the note fields. Job Instructions can be found in the Special Instruction section of the Maintain | Jobs | Main window.
The first three fields in the Special Instructions section will be stored in notes 21, 22, and 23 respectively. Blank fields will be suppressed.
Click the Save button to continue. To undo any changes click the Undo button.
Single Weighment
Available Options and Descriptions
Off
Option is turned off and single weighments are not allowed. Interact will require a value greater than zero (0) to be present in the Weight Out field before a transaction can be completed.
Set Net = Weight, Adj Net = 0
This option only stores the weight in the Net Weight field of the database. The Adjusted Net Weight field will be zero. All reports and charge calculations are generated using the value in the Adjusted Net Weight field. Therefore, no charges will be calculated, and the weights will be excluded from all reports.
Set Net and Adj. Net = Weight
This option stores the weight in the Net Weight and Adjusted Net Weight fields of the database. All reports and charge calculations are generated using the value in the Adjusted Net Weight field. Therefore charges can be calculated and the weights will be included on all reports.
Click the Save button to continue. To undo any changes, click the Undo button.
Example
When enabled the Net Mode check box will appear in the Transaction Details window. When this box is checked, the net weight and weigh in or weight out (depending on the material direction) will be set equal to the scale weight. If needed, change the material direction before clicking the Complete Ticket button.
In the above example the Set Net and Adj. Net = Weight option has been selected to allow for a charge to be calculated.
Additional Setup
- To add a new material item, select Maintain | Material.
- To calculate a charge, select Maintain | Prices. Select the -1 Default Price table. Enter the charge value in the Weight column. To calculate a flat fee, check the By Load option.
Refresh Open Ticket Intervals
The drop-down lists for hauler account, bill-to account, job/orders, material, price and categories can be automatically refreshed. This feature can be used when other stations are sharing a common database and updating these tables while weigh transactions are being processed.
The default value is 5 seconds.
Click the Save button to continue. To undo any changes, click the Undo button.
Captured Images Directory
Click the Set button to change the directory where captured images are stored.
Click the Save button to continue. To undo any changes, click the Undo button.
Run Export After Each Completed Transaction
Interact includes an Import/Export module. Export definitions are created using the module to export transaction data to an ASCII file. These files are typically used to import transaction data into another software package for additional use, such as generating invoices. This feature allows the end user to select an export definition to be automatically executed after each completed transaction.
Default Payment type for Cash Transactions
When a cash transaction is processed, the default payment type is Cash. Click the drop-down to select to have a different payment type set as the default.
