Ticket Numbers
A Ticket Number group is tied to the database it was created on. DataSync cannot be used to synchronize a ticket number group to a client site. The ticket number group must be created on the client database and synchronized to the server/master database.
The Ticket Number group can be shared on machines within the same database to allow for sequential ticket numbering.
Add a Ticket Number group
To add a new ticket number group, click the Add New button. A blank form appears.
A valid entry only requires a Name.
- Name can be up to ten (10) characters in length and is an alpha numeric field.
General
Use the Next ticket number field to enter the starting ticket number.
Use the Max ticket number to enter an ending ticket number. Leave the value set to zero (0) to indicate no ticket number limit.
Use the Next payment number to enter the next receipt or payment number to be used by this ticket number group. Not all machines will be allowed to enter payments.
To use this ticket number group on this machine, check the Use this group for tickets created on this machine box. All ticket number groups used at the location can be added from one machine, but each machine must select the ticket number group to be used on the machine.
To save the Ticket Number group, click the Save Changes button.
To undo any changes to the Ticket Number group, click the Undo Change button.
To delete a Ticket Number group, click the Delete Record button. A window similar to the following appears.
Click Yes to delete the ticket number group. Click No to cancel.
To change the Next ticket number, Max ticket number, or Next payment number for a ticket number group, select the ticket number group from the list or use the search field. Make desired changes and click the Save Changes button.
