QuickBooks Setup
It is necessary to tell QuickBooks to allow QBIM access to the QuickBooks database. To allow proper access to the QuickBooks database, start QuickBooks and open the company data will be transferred into. Select Edit | Preferences, a window similar to the following appears.
Click the Integrated Applications icon on the left. Select the Company Preferences tab. A window similar to the following will appear.
Match the settings to the above example. Click the Properties button. A window similar to the following appears.

- Allow this application to access this company file
- Allow this application to login automatically

Older revisions of QuickBooks may also have you select the login user from the Login As drop-down list.
