Transient Truck Account

A transaction can be recorded with a truck that does not belong to any hauler in your database (transient). You can select the default hauler and bill-to account to use for these transactions. The system supplies an account called Transient for this purpose, although you may select any account you wish. Another common account used as the transient account is the Cash account. Transient trucks are not added to the truck table. The truck id is only stored with the current transaction and is available for transaction reporting purposes. It can also be printed on tickets.

Valid Transient Id: (Lower and Upper)

You can place a numeric limit on what are acceptable transient truck id numbers. These fields are typically used in unattended operations where transactions are allowed to be started with a transient truck id (Truck In / Loop Out feature). For example, you may allow cash customers to drive on the scale and enter their telephone number at the unattended terminal to initiate a transaction. You can limit which telephone numbers are acceptable by entering lower and upper limits for the transient id number.

Use Truck History for Material, Customer and Job

When this box is checked, the material, customer (bill-to) and job will be set equal to the values on the previous ticket when starting transactions using trucks stored in the truck table.

Unattended Runner/Touch7

When Truck history is not in use (unchecked) it will take priority over any "Unattended Job/Account/Material Prompt" History setting in the Truck table.

For Unattended Runners and Touch7, the driver will be prompted for a Job in the following setup.

  • Account | Truck | History - Unattended Job Prompt - Never Prompt
  • Use Truck History for Material, Customer, and Job - Unchecked.

Use History for Categories

When this box is checked, truck history will be used for any active category. The selected categories be set equal to the values on the previous ticket when starting transactions using trucks stored in the truck table.
