Accounts
Use the account setup window to change the label for certain fields such as Bill to Account, Hauler Account, and Addresses.
It is also used to set default values for certain tables such as Prices and Tax Code. When a new account is added, the fields will automatically be set with these default values. The defaults can always be overridden.
To change labels and set defaults, select Setup | Configure - Accounts. A window similar to the following will appear.
Title
Use these fields to changes the labels of the Bill to account and Hauler account.
- For example, in the Forestry business we will often change the Bill to account label to Producer or Farmer in the Agricultural industry.
Click the Save button to save changes. Click the Undo button to cancel any changes.
Address Labels
Use these fields to change the Address Labels. Leaving a field blank will hide it from the Account table.
Click the Save button to save changes. Click the Undo button to cancel any changes.
Defaults for New Accounts
Prices & Taxes
To set a default Price table other than -1 Default Price, select a Price table from the drop-down list.
To set a default Tax Code other than Tax Exempt, select a Tax Code table from the drop-down list.
Exemptions
To set Exemptions for all new accounts, check the boxes for Finance Charge, Freight, and Freight Tax
Click the Save button to save changes. Click the Undo button to cancel any changes.
Categories
To set a default value for the Material table and any additional active categories (up to four), select the item from the drop-down list for each category.
Custom Fields
These additional fields can be treated like note fields and can be used to print additional information on tickets or to export required information for a 3rd party application. They've been used to store permit expiration dates.
Custom Customer Fields
When labeled and enabled, these extra fields will appear in the Account Table for all account types set to Customer Only or Customer and Hauler.
Custom Hauler Fields.
When labeled and enabled, these extra fields will appear in the Account Table for all account types set to Hauler Only or Customer and Hauler.
Click the Save button to save changes. Click the Undo button to cancel any changes.
