Voiding Credit Card Transactions Processed with ValPay 

Transactions paid with a Credit/Debit Card cannot be edited once the card has been processed and the fee charged to the customer's credit card. The transaction can be voided when a transaction paid by credit card is incorrect. When using ValPay as the credit card processing company with a Verifone reader, Interact will process the refund to the customer's credit card. The transaction must be voided on a PC that also has a credit card reader attached. It does not have to be voided on the same PC it was created on. 

To void a transaction, click Quick Scan from the main menu or select Maintain | Transactions. A window similar to the following will appear.

Use the Transaction Criteria window find a transaction that meets the criteria parameters. Click the Search button to find the transaction.

Select the transaction from the View Transaction window. Click the  Edit Selected button.

Click the  Void Ticket button. The following message will appear.

Click  Yes to void the transaction and issue a refund to the card holder.

Click  No to cancel.

Other Processors

Interact will not process a refund to the customer's credit card with other processing companies such as Heartland. The Interact transaction can be voiced, but the refund MUST be processed through the Heartland on-line application.
